And what if there were some bad actors who came in to stir up trouble in an attempt to discredit the protestors, and elicit a violent response from ICE and the police? It wouldn’t surprise me. 

It seems like a lot of people are lining up to throw Sherrill under the bus. I’m not saying this wasn’t a mistake. But the long knives seem to have come out on both sides. 

I'm not "lining up" with anyone. But Sherrill deserves all the criticism she's getting. It was a huge mistake to send a riot squad of troopers to Newark.

She should know better. Anyone paying the least bit of attention to history knew what she did was going to provoke violence instead of preventing it. Sure, send in the police, but in regular uniform, not armor and shields.

I hope she learned a lesson.

Trump making half-naked sweaty men fight on his front lawn is a great way to celebrate Pride Month. Hats off to him.

Even if we were to accept the idea that Israel has the right to kill, maim and torture with no external limits, what I still don't get is why the US taxpayer should have to underwrite that program of atrocities.

The US constitution may have been a snazzy ride in 1789 but it is hopelessly outdated in the 21st century.  The Electoral College, which regularly crowns the guy who came in second should, by itself, be disqualifying for a modern constitution. The same goes for the US Senate which gives a voter from California at 1/60th the influence of a voter from Wyoming.

Also, I can’t remember if I read or dreamt that  the structure is temporary or permanent.  It’s hideous for a permanent structure, flimsy and contains high-tech features that could be easily damaged under heavy snow…..   It’s way too costly for a temporary structure.
